The objects in the Pitt Rivers Museum shows aspects of human life in many cultures at how people have dealt with problems of life and death around.

They are arranged by the purpose of use, so it allows us to compare how people in different cultures have made the same kinds of things, or solved similar problems. All the lamps and lighting for example are displayed together. The problem of how to make light is universal yet the range of solutions extraordinary. Pitt Rivers Museum is deffo a must-go.

Again, collections are organised thematically rather than where they are from, timeframes, cultures etc. In this case, RESHAPING. My favourite piece in the museum. Complete satisfaction in a visual sense. Ahhh so appealing seeing things perfectly organised in a symmetrical pattern.

The Randolph Hotel : Room 23, a feature king room in the old part of the hotel overlooking Ashmolean Museum. Spacious and clean. The bathroom was immaculate. Perfect location in the city centre. Recommended

The Bridge of Sighs (officially called Hertford Bridge) is famous for its similarity to the Bridge of Sighs in Venice

Learnt how to fly a glider at Bicester Gliding Centre. It was an aerotow launch meaning the glider is pulled into the air behind a powered aircraft. If I got to fly, I’ll deffo opt for winch launch. It was fun but not as excited as flying a Slingsby T67 Firefly.
